Program overview
The SIGN 2024 conference centers on unmet need for effective delivery of therapeutic agents to the brain. It will emphasize the value of advanced imaging to guide neurointerventions and to monitor drug pharmacokinetics from the moment of delivery through initial biodistribution and subsequent clearance from the central nervous system. Head-to-head presentation of various neurointerventions will be essential for understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. The meeting is expected to provide guidance and a perspective for the years to come.
Neurointerventions covered during the conference will include:
-
Focused ultrasound (FUS)
-
Osmotic blood brain barrier opening (OBBBO)
-
Convection-enhanced delivery (CED)
-
Local/CSF mediated routes
The meeting will provide the perspective about the state of art developments across all disciplines contributing to image-guided neurointerventions to identify opportunities and challenges, and discuss common goals linking the extensive bandwidth of expertise. The ultimate goal is to define a roadmap for image-guided precision medicine for neurological disorders for the forthcoming years.
