The mission of the SIGN is to foster therapies of brain and spinal cord disorders
while preventing toxicity to the rest of the body through advancing methods for
image-guided neurointerventions.
ABOUT SIGN
SIGN is a non-profit entity composed of scientists, engineers and clinicians. The initiative to launch SIGN came from the unique opportunity provided by growing technological capacity within several different fields including interventional neuroradiology, MRI, PET, neuropharmacology and artificial intelligence. In 2018 when the society has been established each of these fields offered tools of unprecedented utility such as potent therapeutic agents, methods for selective drug delivery, visualizing brain structure and function, as well as enormous calculation power. Importantly, these converging fields offer great synergy and added value when combined. The SIGN is a non-profit organization supported by its members and by donations.
